Legislative Building

Here you will find a variety of information on everything from how laws are made to visiting the Legislative Building.  Come see how and where Saskatchewan’s laws are founded and the effort required to write them.

 

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum

Take a look at all the secrets unearthed at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. Play with the giant Tyrannosaurus rex named Megamunch, or learn about the life of the ancient aboriginal people of Saskatchewan and beyond. There is something to captivate the minds of young and old.

 

 

Saskatchewan Science Centre

Providing opportunities for families to play and learn together, the Saskatchewan Science Centre encourages experiments, surprises you with stage shows, wows you with workshops, and features Saskatchewan’s tallest indoor climbing wall. The Kramer IMAX Theatre enhances this learning experience by featuring science, travel, and nature-oriented films on its giant screen.

 

MacKenzie Art Gallery/T.C. Douglas Building

Experience the visual beauty of the MacKenzie Art Gallery, featuring exhibits and programs that run all year round. Located inside the T.C. Douglas building the gallery maintains a strong belief that art does matter, and the staff at MacKenzie strive to keep that belief alive.

 

 

University Of Regina

Explore the knowledge that is housed in the University of Regina. The U of R offers a wide range of course selections for all kinds of curious minds. On-campus housing is available as are tours for new students.

 

 

SIAST

The Willow on Wascana Restaurant

Come delight your tastebuds at The Willow on Wascana Restaurant, situated on the beautiful north side of Wascana Lake, close to the Marina. Reservations are required.

 

 

Conexus Art Centre

Experience magic and wonder at the Conexus Art Centre. They offer a wide range of shows, from Concerts and plays to demonstrations and much, much more.

 

 

CBC Regina Broadcast Centre/CanSask Sound Stage

The CBC has brought the City of Regina great family television broadcasting for many years.  The CBC has produced great programming like the hit Canadian Television Show "Corner Gas".  Also, connected to the CBC Broadcast Centre is the CBC soundstage.

 

 

CNIB

The Culliton Centre or also known as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) is located at 2550 Broad St.  Directly within Wascana Centre. The CNIB help people with visual impairments to better there lives.

 

 

Wascana Pool

Come and enjoy a  day with family and friends at the Wascana Pool.  Open during regular summer hours, 7 days a week. Located east of the Royal Sask Museum, Wascana Pool is a great way to cool down on those scorching summer days. 

 

Wascana Canoe Kayak Rentals

Spend an afternoon on the water with a friend, learn how to kayak, or enjoy the scenery of Wascana Centre when you rent a canoe or kayak. Located at the Wascana Marina and open seven days a week, Wascana Canoe Kayak Rentals offers a fun, unique way to explore and enjoy Wascana Centre.

 

 

 

First Nations University of Canada

First Nations University of Canada was established in 1976 as the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (SIFC) through a federated partnership with the University of Regina. The University is independently administered offering post-secondary education in a culturally supportive First Nations environment.

 

 

Wascana Rehabilitation Centre

The Wascana Rehabilitation Centre provides comprehensive medical rehabilitation programs for adults and children, as well as specialized long-term care. A wide variety of programming, including Functional Rehabilitation, Amputee Services, Spinal Cord Injury Services and Orthopedics, Children's Services, Adult Rehabilitation, Extended Care and Veteran's Services, are available to meet the particular needs of clients. The Centre serves the population of southern Saskatchewan.

Friends of Wascana Marsh

 

Friends of Wascana Marsh

Wascana Marsh is a thriving 223 hectare marshland located within Wascana Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Its existence dates back to 1913 when a planner had the foresight to establish the Wascana Game Preserve.

 

 

The Association of Saskatchewan Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies

The Association of Saskatchewan Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies (ASUPCA) is a non-profit volunteer organization that encourages the conservation and protection of the natural environment within Saskatchewan's cities. Through public programs, workshops and demonstrations, marketing and fundraising, ASUPCA supports Saskatchewan's seven conservation and devlopment agencies, one of which is Wascana Centre.

 

 

Carbon Credit Canada

Carbon Credit Canada is a carbon offset program run by ASUPCA. You can reduce your carbon footprint by purchasing carbon offsets that provide funding for various conservation efforts in Wascana Centre and other urban parks in the province. For example, in Wascana Centre, funds received from carbon credits will be put towards the annual re-forestation progam, the landscaping of trails, and the restoration of a grassland area that was previously overrun with an invasive plant species.
