A special event is an event that takes place on one of the many areas of green space which are available in Wascana Centre.

Edna May Forbes Lady Slipper Courtyard and Theatre

The Edna May Forbes Lady Slipper Courtyard is a secluded, outdoor garden enclosed by a perimeter fence adjacent to Wascana Place. This peaceful courtyard is fully accessible and features attractive landscaping, all-weather surfacing, entrance gateway arbors, and a large open pavilion.

G. Murray Forbes Boardroom and Atholl Forbes Lounge

The G. Murray Forbes Boardroom and Atholl Forbes Lounge are located on the third floor of Wascana Place, 2900 Wascana Drive. The boardroom seats fourteen (14) people at the board table, with an additional six (6) others seated on the sofa and chairs within this room, making the total room capacity twenty (20) people.

Wascana Bandstand

The Wascana Bandstand, refurbished in 1985, is located in Wascana Centre on the north shore of Wascana Lake between Albert Street and Wascana Drive overlooking Wascana Lake and the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. Historic on its own merits, this structure was originally located downtown Regina in Victoria Park.

Willow Island

Willow Island is a man-made island located near the northeast shore of Wascana Lake. This public space can be used for a variety of activities, from weddings to barbecues. There are two areas available for private bookings - the south end of the island which will accommodate a maximum of 40 people and the north end which will accommodate a maximum of 160 people. Willow Island can also be rented as a whole.
