Wascana Centre Authority is committed to maintaining and enhancing the 2,300 acres that make up the Centre. Through planning, innovation and hard work, the staff at Wascana Centre is constantly working to ensure we remain one of the finest urban parks in North America.

Each Wednesday, Wascana Centre will highlight an area which has either been built or enhanced for the public to enjoy.

In a project that started in 2015, Wascana Centre is in the midst of a major renovation to all of the washrooms found throughout the Centre. The upgrades include new sinks, countertops, flooring, paint, lighting and bathroom stalls. As well, each washroom received a substantial upgrade to the roofs and skylights.

Wascana Centre is also in the process of upgrading our drinking fountains. To date the following have been updated and now have water bottle filling capacity on the exterior of the building:

  • Wascana Pool Area washroom
  • Candy Cane Park washroom
  • Avenue G washroom
  • Lower Marina
  • Douglas Park Support Facility and washroom – inside the entrance.

Work is ongoing to install drinking fountains and bottle filling stations at the Goose Hill washroom and Spruce Island Pump house near Hill Boulevard and Lakeshore Drive.
