Wascana Centre Donations

Widely known as the crown-jewel of Regina, Wascana Centre is one of the largest urban parks in North America, boasting a 930-hectare parkland which surrounds a 120-hectare lake. For generations, Wascana Centre has been a place for the people of Regina to come together; it holds a special place in our hearts and memories. We take great pride in this world-class urban park – it is our park, and it truly is a place for you!

Wascana Centre - Celebrating the Vision

Wascana Centre Authority just celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2012. To help future generations enjoy Wascana Centre and to continue 'celebrating the vision' for the next 50 years, please consider making a charitable donation today.

Your donation could go towards many different projects such as playgrounds, conservation programs, or trails and pathways and can be made in the following ways:

Donate online using the PayPal link below;
Mail your monthly/annual cheque donation(s) directly to Wascana Centre Authority; or
Call Wascana Centre at 306-522-3661 to donate by credit card.

Donors will be recognized on the website (www.wascana.ca) and in the Annual Report. Tax receipts will be issued for contributions of $20 or greater. Donors of $200 or greater will also be recognized on the Donor Board at Wascana Place. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will ensure our Wascana is accessible and well maintained for years to come.

Memorial Bench

Benches throughout Wascana Centre can be dedicated to commemorate a milestone or to celebrate the life and works of a loved one.

Benches will be identified with an appropriately engraved plaque upon which the donor may choose to select up to four lines of text with approximately 50 characters per line. The donor may also elect to purchase a second plaque for $300.00 if they wish to add more text to the bench. The cost of dedicating an existing bench is $3,500.00. The cost of erecting a new bench to be dedicated is $5,000.00.

Plant a Legacy Tree

If you select this option, a large tree (6-10 feet or taller) will be planted within Wascana Centre in memory of a person of your choosing. Donors or those being honoured will receive a certificate as well as a map with the tree's location and the opportunity to be present when the tree is planted. The cost to plant a Legacy Tree is $1,000.00.

Sponsor a Tree

You can also choose to sponsor the planting of a tree in Wascana Centre. Donors or those being honoured will be advised of the species and location of the tree. The cost to sponsor a tree is $200.00.
